Prissfaerie & I were sending messages via AtlasQuest when I mentioned
my upcoming PhotoShop mini-class. As she was unaware of it, I sent her
here to scroll through the messages for info. Then learning that was
unaware of this group, it made me think that there must be other newer
letterboxers in the region who also haven't joined LbNCA.
How can we alert these folks that our friendly and helpful LbNCA
exists? Is there any way to identify Northern California people who
are on AQ or LbNA/Lb.org that aren't LbNCA members?
The same thing happens with LbNY, too.

See if they talk real fast in their emails with no accent.

Hi Paul
I check in on the newboxers chatlist (yahoo) fairly regularly and when
I spot a post from someone in Ca. I post the link to northern Ca. as
well as SoCal lists.
You might join the newboxers list and post info about your workshop.

I just posted a message at atlasquest on the letterboxing california board
about LbNCA. Maybe we can do that every once in a while when we think about
it.

Whenever someone new plants in our area, I try to remember to send them an invite to
join the LbNCA group. About half of the people respond. As a moderator, I have a way of
sending invitations, so if anyone ever wants to me to send one to someone, just let me
know. Or do as Paul did and point them the direction of Yahoo Groups and the person can
sign up for themselves.

Well I can't blame anyone for me not knowing about the list, I don't spend
much time on the boards on AQ other than just to scan through it. Looking
at all the posts is a bit daunting. If it weren't for chatting with
planters after finding their boxes I probably would not have started talking
to any other letterboxers at all for a while.
